Annette’s Mutete Gomadamate
Ingredients:
Method:
- 1. Put dry Mutete in a bowl, pour boiling water until covered and soak for 15 minutes. Set it aside.
- 2. Wash the Mutete and put it in a saucepan with boiling water and cover to boil.
- 3. Drain out water from the Mutete and rinse well to reduce the sour taste.
- 4. Put aside, heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- 5. Sauté tomatoes and garlic then season with Aromat original seasoning.
- 6. Add the Mutete.
- 7. Continue to cook and stir for 2 minutes.
- 8. In a separate pot heat butter until bubbled and pour over the Mutete.
- 9. Serve as a side dish with pap and chicken or meat.

I gained great knowledge of food when I worked for a catering company that supplies food to schools, universities, and vocational training centres & hospitals as an Admin Clerk. I have been in catering business for 30 years. I have knowledge of measuring, issuing & preparing food. Ndanyengwa catering renders services for Weddings, Meetings, workshops & Graduations etc. I established a cooking class (Weekend Cooking Class (WCC) with Annette which I started in 2022. I did three intakes and trained 40 students from May 2022 until August 2023, and it is still ongoing. Ndanyengwa catering has 10 active and good cooks and one of them is a qualified chef.
